OUR STORY
01 — HOW IT STARTED
Make children's days more colorful.
I was born and raised in Japan, studied fashion,
I have worked as a fashion designer in Tokyo.
When my son was in my womb,
Going to Denmark with my family.
When my son was born and I was looking for baby clothes almost every day,
I wish there were clothes like this.
With more of a silhouette like this.
Using a fabric like this.
With a pattern like this.
Ideas like that kept coming to mind.
Comfortable, easy to put on,
Playful clothes that look great precisely because the wearer is a small child.
And when looking back at the photos later,
An outfit that brings back memories—like, "You were wearing this that day."
Clothes that remain alongside colorful memories.
That is the beginning of melted butter.
02 — MADE TOGETHER
The person I first shared the idea with was...
A dear close friend since childhood.
She has worked in manufacturing in Japan.
I come up with designs in Denmark,
She supports manufacturing in Japan.
Now we, too, have become mothers,
My days with the children give me plenty of ideas.
"Maybe this one will be easier to put on?"
This material feels nice against the baby's skin.
If we do it this way, it looks like it'll be easier to coordinate.
As we exchanged such casual remarks,
Thinking and creating together, then making it a little better.
Designs born in Denmark,
Bringing it to life through meticulous Japanese craftsmanship.
That is our style.
03 — OUR LITTLE WORLD
The inspiration for melted butter is...
Small creatures and plants encountered in the nature of Denmark.
And then, the atmosphere of Copenhagen—fashionable, yet calm and pleasant.
A colorful and playful building.
Soft light.
Children playing freely.
What emerges from that is...
PLAYFUL. COLORFUL. CASUAL.
Something that suits a small child perfectly,
Cute patterns and colors that are a bit bold.
A garment that captures the signature style of melted butter.
We personally touch the materials and fabrics,
I select or create things that I feel are just right.
As gentle as possible on a baby's skin.
We also incorporate organic cotton, with the future of the planet where children will live in mind.
The irreplaceable time spent with your beloved child becomes more colorful,
I aim to create clothing that sparks excitement.
